The Ibero-American Action League, Inc.'s Adoption Service provides the link between children waiting for a permanent home and special people wantint to open their hearts to a child who needs love, security, and a new start on life. This unique program does what no other in the Rochester community can—provides services to assist the Hispanic community in adoption and adoption proceedings. Bilingual caseworkers who understand the cultural differences of the Hispanic population are on hand to make sure that the right child is matched with the right family.

Becoming an adoptive parent is one of the best things you can do for yourself, and...

  • you do not have to be rich to adopt a child. You must only have a steady income that will support both you and the child

  • renting is okay. You do not have to own your own home, but your place must be safe and large enough for all family members
  • marital status is not important. Children can be placed in single-parent homes or in families with both mother and father

    The children: Who we are

  • We are mostly ethnic minority infants, babies, pre-schoolers, school age children, and children 10 years or older
  • some of us have special needs
  • Some of us have brothers and sisters, and we want to live together
  • We have been abused, neglected, and abandoned
  • We need homes that will provide us love and care.
  • Will you share your heart and your home with us?

    On Financial Assistance

There are maintenance subsidies available for children who may have special needs. This assistance may, under certain circumstances, continue until the child is 21. Many children may also be eligible for a medical subsidy.

    Call us!

The Ibero Adoption Service will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please plan to attend one of our orientation sessions, which will explain our program, the children, and how adopting a child will change your view of the world.
